We're proud to announce that we're the first TMC to join Social Enterprise UK as a Supporter Member. This partnership underlines our deep commitment to using business as a force for good, aligning commercial goals with social impact.
As a Supporter Member, we're joining a diverse network of organisations dedicated to advancing the reach and impact of social enterprises across the UK. Many of our partnerships, such as large group hotel and venue partnerships, offer customers additional value beyond monetary, with a range of sustainable and social value initiatives.
Similarly, through the Collection programme, where we work closely with small groups, and unique, independent properties, customers are offered a choice of hotels and venues that hold deep and varied community values at a local level.
Becoming a Supporter Member unlocks the opportunity to ‘buy social’ - integrating social enterprises into procurement conversations across our wider supplier network. This not only strengthens the economy but also channels spending towards businesses committed to social and environmental missions.
Supporter membership enables us to:
- Engage with policymakers and decision‑makers, elevating the role of social purpose within the travel and corporate services sector.
- Access thought leadership, training, and best practice frameworks to continually enhance its social value programmes.
- Collaborate with fellow businesses and social enterprises to innovate and amplify community impact.
Donna Fitzgerald, our Executive Director, said:
“Becoming a Supporter Member of Social Enterprise UK marks a significant milestone in our journey, it reflects our belief that business success and social responsibility are inseparable. We’re honoured to take this first step in our sector towards building a more sustainable, inclusive future.”
Our commitment to social value spans across several meaningful initiatives:
- Employee volunteer days across the UK, in partnership with local charities.
- Coat drives, donations, and support for homelessness charities.
- Community health and wellbeing partnerships.
Joining Social Enterprise UK will further empower us to scale these activities - and launch new initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
About Social Enterprise UK
Social Enterprise UK is the national membership body for social enterprises in Britain. Established in 2002, it champions businesses trading for good, campaigning for change, and facilitating growth across the sector.
Social Enterprise UK’s Chief Executive Peter Holbrook CBE said:
“Corporate spending is changing, with companies big and small increasingly considering how they impact people and planet, so we’re proud to have assembled this group of purpose-led business pioneers leading by example in our Social Procurement Connect programme. Each business committing to buy social demonstrates the wisdom and foresight to know that social enterprise is the future, the best of Britain and the best of business. Everyone in our network is an important ally in our movement, and their work as social intrapreneurs across a diverse range of businesses will help us drive real change.”
