Success for Clarity at Greengage Sustainability Awards 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that we've won four awards at this year’s Greengage Sustainability Awards 2025.

The Greengage Sustainability Awards, now in their third year, highlight and celebrate organisations and individuals that are making a real difference to delivering more responsible business travel, accommodation, meetings and events, and related sustainable products and services.

To be recognised across four separate sustainability categories, is a huge testament to the dedication, creativity and expertise of our people across Clarity and Brighter, our specialist events division.

Rising Star – Anisha Tansley

This award recognises an individual showing exceptional potential and commitment to sustainability early in their career, for which Anisha absolutely has!

Anisha joined Clarity in July 2024 as our Corporate Responsibility Coordinator, stepping into the world of travel with no prior industry experience but an undeniable passion for sustainability. From day one—quite literally, as she arrived fresh from debating climate change with her taxi driver—it was clear that she was the perfect fit for this role.

Anisha has quickly established herself as a trusted advisor, working closely with the leadership team on critical compliance, governance, and sustainability strategy. Her deep commitment to understanding complex methodologies has brought credibility and legitimacy to our sustainability efforts. Anisha is not just a rising star - she is a force for real change, driving sustainability with intelligence, dedication, and passion. Speaking upon her award win, Anisha said:

It feels amazing to have won the rising star award and be rewarded for all the hard work undertaken by myself and the rest of the team. I’m so immensely proud of this achievement from a personal perspective, but it also reflects Clarity’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Travel Management Sustainability Initiative - Clarity

This award involves recognising a large travel management company with over 101 employees for demonstrating exceptional commitment to sustainability.

In 2024 we launched our intent to work closely with Greengage, ECOSmart to provide integrated (at point of booking) recommendations to green-certified hotels and venues to ensure that our customers have access to environmentally responsible options, which we plan to deliver in 2025.

We have also developed and implemented sustainable travel programmes for our customers, emphasising eco-friendly transportation options, more sustainable accommodation choices, and responsible tourism practices. Our in-house booking platform ClarityGo automatically calculates the CO2 emissions from every room night, flight and rail journey, supporting travellers to make more sustainable choices.

Our long-term sustainability goals fall into four workstreams - Responsible Business, Sustainable Solutions, Confident Conversations and Expert Connections - that have an impact across three key groups – people & community, planet and governance.

Environmentally, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint in line with the Paris Agreement. We are working on our science based reduction targets with a view to having these externally verified in 2025, supporting our pathway to Net Zero.  

We are committed to supporting customers make more sustainable travel choices, working closely with them to increase accuracy of CO2 reporting and working with customers to create more sustainable travel programmes.

Organisational Engagement & Cultural Change Initiative of the Year – Clarity

This award honours an initiative that successfully fostered sustainability engagement and cultural change within an organisation.

Bringing two business’ together in 2024, we needed to assess and align our understanding and level of confidence with sustainability. Our primary goal was to embed sustainability into business strategy and daily operations by raising awareness and equipping our people with the knowledge to drive meaningful change. We focused on three key areas:

Educate – Ensuring a shared understanding of sustainability across the business. We launched an online training course via our LMS, achieving 85% adoption. We also hosted our first ESG customer Knowledge Exchange in October 2024, sharing our sustainability journey and fostering open discussions with customers.

Empower – Encouraging our future talent to lead sustainability initiatives. Through Clarity’s Talent Academy, rising stars developed and executed projects such as an email detox to reduce IT carbon emissions, office waste reduction campaigns, upcycling and donation drives, and making Talent Academy events more environmentally sustainable.

Bespoke Training – In partnership with Responsible Futures, we delivered tailored sustainability training for 35 sales and account management team members, equipping them with the knowledge to better support customers and safeguard against greenwashing.

By fostering a culture of sustainability, we ensure our team understands not just what to do, but why it matters—for people, the planet, and our business.

Event Management Company of the Year -  Brighter

Celebrating an event management company that has integrated sustainability into every aspect of its operations. Shout out to our specialist events division, Brighter, who walked away with silver in this award!

The ceremony took place on Friday 9 May at BMA House in London – a fantastic afternoon to celebrate the amazing change makers driving sustainability forward!
