How Lufthansa Group is redefining the journey

Business travel continues to evolve, shaped by changing expectations of how time is used before arrival. For today’s travellers, time in the air can serve a different purpose depending on the journey and the individual: a place to prepare, keep on top of work, focus, rest or reset before landing. This is where flexibility and personalisation become increasingly important, giving travellers greater choice over how they experience their journey and make the most of their time on board.

As traveller expectations change, airlines are rethinking the onboard experience. Across the Lufthansa Group airlines, significant investment is being made to create journeys that feel more individual, intuitive and relevant to the needs of modern business travellers. At the forefront of this transformation are two new premium travel concepts across all classes: Lufthansa Allegris and SWISS Senses. Both represent a new era of long-haul travel, placing personal choice and comfort firmly at the centre of the journey.

Lufthansa Allegris is the airline's most extensive premium cabin investment to date, delivering a completely new long-haul experience across every class.

For business travellers, the standout innovation is the new Business Class concept. Rather than offering a single seat type, Allegris introduces a range of seating options designed around different travel needs. These include Business Class Suites, with a sliding door, alongside options fort hose who are travelling with a companion, prioritise extra space, privacy oran extra-long bed. Across the Business Class cabin, travellers can also expect features such as individual seat heating and cooling, wireless charging and larger 4K entertainment screens.

This extends to the onboard hospitality available across all Lufthansa long-haul services through FOX — the Future Onboard eXperience — which introduces greater choice in dining, upgraded amenities and refined tableware across cabins. In Business Class, Sky Selection gives travellers greater control over their onboard dining, including a fully flexible second meal service and the option to select their preferred breakfast before going to sleep, helping to maximise rest on board.

The result is a more varied and adaptable onboard experience that reflects how differently people use their time in the air.

Lufthansa Allegris is already available on many routes across North and South America, Africa, and Asia, with Kuala Lumpur set to become the latest addition to the network this winter. Travellers can connect conveniently via Frankfurt or Munich from across the UK. FOX is available on all Lufthansa long-haul services worldwide.

Introducing SWISS Senses: Sensing what you need

While Lufthansa Allegris is transforming the Lufthansa experience, SWISS is introducing its own next-generation long-haul concept: SWISS Senses.

Built around the same philosophy of individuality and customer choice, SWISS Senses combines redesigned cabins with carefully considered details that reflect the airline's distinctive Swiss identity. The concept extends beyond the seat choices, incorporating lighting, design elements and sensory touches throughout the journey to create a more refined and immersive travel experience.

Like Allegris, SWISS Senses focuses on providing travellers with greater privacy, flexibility and control during their journey.

The SWISS First Grand Suite takes this further by partnering a window suite with the centrally located Suite Plus to create a larger, private space. Designed to be used flexibly for working, dining or resting, it features high walls that create a more undisturbed and exclusive experience above the clouds.

For companies whose travellers value both efficiency and wellbeing, these developments reflect a broader shift in business travel: recognising that the journey itself can play a meaningful role in productivity and wellbeing.

SWISS Senses is currently available on services to Boston and Seoul, with Johannesburg and selected Shanghai flights joining from late October as part of the winter 2026/2027 timetable. Travellers can connect seamlessly via Zurich from across the UK.

More value in every flight

Modern business travel is about more than the hours spent in the air. It's about the overall value travellers and organisations receive from every journey.

This year, PartnerPlusBenefit celebrates 25 years of helping businesses get more from their travel. Lufthansa Group's corporate rewards programme enables companies to earn Benefit Points on qualifying flights across seven Lufthansa Group airlines and four partner airlines, turning journeys into rewards that can support future travel needs. BenefitPoints can be redeemed for flights, upgrades and even Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), offering organisations another way to support their travel objectives while helping to reduce their carbon footprint.
