Every step, every blister, and every ball lost was to raise funds for people living with cancer.
Earlier this week, three of Clarity’s very own took on the World’s Longest Day Golf Challenge at Carden Park in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Mark Stevens, Integration Director, Alex Stitch, Senior Commercial Accountant and Cameron Robertson, Venue Find Consultant, tee’d off at 4:30am on the morning of Monday 16th June, and didn’t get back to the clubhouse until 8:40pm later that day!
With a total of 72 holes, thousands of club swings and over 40km walked, this challenge was a serious test of stamina but all worthwhile raising funds for such a deserving cause. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, Macmillan is doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are.
Every step, every blister, and every golf ball lost was for a cause that matters. Macmillan provides emotional, financial, and practical support to millions facing cancer– but they can’t do it without donations.
The mammoth effort from the Clarity trio has so far raised close to £1,000, with donations still being accepted here.
“It’s incredibly fulfilling to support a charity that is so close to so many people’s hearts including my own, the work Macmillan do to support those affected by cancer is vital, so it’s an honour to be able to raise money for such a worthwhile cause on behalf of Clarity. It’s initiatives like this along with our staff volunteering days that enables us to make a positive impact to worthy causes.”
