Clarity supports Good Employment Week 2026

What makes a workplace feel supportive, rewarding and inclusive? Good Employment Week provides an opportunity to explore the practices that help people and organisations succeed.

Good employment is about more than policies and procedures. As Good Employment Week 2026 gets underway, we're reflecting on why creating positive workplace experiences matters and the role the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter plays in helping organisations raise employment standards.

From 5-9 October, organisations across Greater Manchester will come together to mark Good Employment Week 2026, an annual celebration of the workplace practices that help people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

As a proud Supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we are committed to promoting good employment and continually strengthening the experience of our colleagues. The Charter aims to improve employment standards across Greater Manchester and encourages organisations to create workplaces where people can develop, progress and succeed.

This year's theme, "What does your work feel like?", focuses on workplace culture and the everyday experiences of employees. Throughout the week, employers, employees and communities will be encouraged to reflect on the environments they work in and the factors that contribute to positive, productive and inclusive workplaces.

Why good employment matters

The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is built around seven key characteristics of good employment:

  • Secure Work
  • Flexible Work
  • Engagement & Voice
  • Recruitment
  • People Management
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Pay

These principles closely align with our own commitment to creating a workplace where colleagues feel supported, respected and empowered to do their best work.

Supporting the Charter benefits both our people and our business. By focusing on fair employment practices, development opportunities, wellbeing and employee engagement, we can continue to strengthen workplace culture, support retention, improve colleague experience and ensure we remain an employer of choice.

As part of the Charter community, we're also able to connect with other organisations, share best practice and learn from employers who are equally committed to raising employment standards across Greater Manchester.

Bringing good employment to life at Clarity

Our support of the Charter is reflected in our ongoing commitment to colleague wellbeing, development and inclusion. From funded learning and development opportunities and wellbeing support, to community volunteering days, disability inclusion initiatives and employee recognition programmes, we continue to invest in creating an environment where our people can thrive.

Our values of listening, adapting and delivering underpin the way we work, while our focus on collaboration, career development and colleague wellbeing helps shape a culture where people feel supported and empowered to succeed.

"This year's theme, 'What does your work feel like?', is a powerful reminder that workplace culture matters. At Clarity, we're committed to creating an environment where our colleagues feel supported, listened to and empowered to succeed, which is why we're proud to support the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter."
