Clarity celebrates BTA Board updates as Donna Fitzgerald joins as Director

Read all about the latest BTA Board structure.

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced an eye-catching change to its leadership structure at it’s Autumn Conference in Munich.

In one of the headline changes, we’re proud to announce that our Chief Growth Officer, Donna Fitzgerald, has been appointed as a Director on the Business Travel Association (BTA) Board.

Donna brings a wealth of leadership experience and a strong understanding of the business travel industry. In her new role, she will champion the needs of TMCs, our customers and their business travellers, ensuring their voices are heard as the BTA shapes the future of our industry.

Donna Fitzgerald, our Chief Growth Officer, said:

“I’m thrilled to join the BTA Board and bring Clarity’s perspective to the table. Too often, the voices of business travellers go unheard, and I’m proud to be part of an organisation that is advocating to change that, and deliver the best experiences and services for them. I look forward to building on the great work of those who have gone before me.”

Donna’s appointment comes in tandem with wider BTA leadership change, which also saw our CEO, Pat McDonagh, step down after several years of dedicated service as Director and Officer. Pat’s outstanding contribution to the BTA Board will leave a lasting positive impact through his leadership, insight and commitment.

Pat McDonagh, our CEO, said:

“Serving on the BTA Board has been a privilege. It’s been incredibly rewarding to work alongside such a talented group of industry leaders and help champion and shape business travel. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and leave the role knowing the Board is in excellent hands, particularly those of Donna, who’s knowledge and experience of our industry will be an invaluable asset going forward.”

With these changes, the BTA Board has also reached a 50/50 gender split from the first time - a positive milestone for diversity and representation in business travel.

Our continued representation on the BTA Board underpins our position and influence in the business travel industry, ensuring that our customers and colleagues are strongly represented.

We congratulate Donna on her appointment and celebrate Pat’s exceptional contribution to the BTA and the industry. Both have exemplified the spirit of leadership and dedication that keeps our sector thriving.
