Portman Academy 

The Portman Academy, based at our award winning European Centre of Excellence in Tralee, was launched in 2014 to attract and develop the next generation of travel professionals. The Academy is aimed at the millennial generation and equips these tech savvy digital natives with the industry knowledge and customer skills required to become a professional business travel consultant.

Since 2014, we have facilitated 3 Academy group training programmes with all 22 participants successfully completing the programme and being offered full time, permanent positions. We are now looking for 8 more people who would relish a new career opportunity in the fast paced world of corporate travel. As part of Portman Academy, participants will travel on educational trips to celebrate their achievements and to have the opportunity to experience first-hand the products we sell. The first Academy group of eight trainees who started in Portman Travel in September 2014 went on an educational trip with Emirates to Dubai. The second group travelled to London to celebrate becoming the latest members of Portman team.
