Virgin Atlantic launches a new flight between London Heathrow and Las Vegas

Virgin Atlantic Newsletter

Latest News from one of our partners, Virgin Atlantic:

We’re delighted to announce our brand new route between London Heathrow and Las Vegas which will launch in spring 2019. The new service will be bookable in the GDS’s from 19 May 2018.

This is a trio of good news for our London Heathrow hub as we have also recently announced that we will be adding a second daily Boston service, and are bringing back the popular seasonal flights to Barbados - offering the only direct connection between Heathrow and the Caribbean.

The new Las Vegas flight will be operated by a Boeing 787 aircraft offering a choice of 31 Upper Class seats, 35 Premium seats and 192 Economy seats. The new Boston service will be operated by an Airbus A330-300 and will make 100,000 additional seats available between the East Coast and the UK. Both flights have been timed to make onward connections easier for UK and US customers.

  • Flights will move from London Gatwick, to fly between London Heathrow and Las Vegas and will launch on 31st March 2019. The flights depart London at 12:40pm, and Las Vegas at 19:05pm.

  • A second daily service between London Heathrow and Boston will launch on 31st March 2019. The flights depart London Heathrow at 20:30, and Boston at 08:30.

  • Seasonal flights between London Heathrow and Barbados will operate between 11th December 2018 and 19th February 2019.

Las Vegas has always been a popular destination for holidaymakers, but it's also the world’s largest conference centre and we've seen increased demand for business travel over recent years. We look forward to introducing a new service from London Heathrow next year which will offer affordable flights for customers heading off on holiday, as well as more Upper Class seats and easy connections for customers travelling on business.

London Gatwick was where it all began for Virgin Atlantic, and it's still our home today - our headquarters are based in Crawley, and we offer up to 6 flights to the US and Caribbean every day. We're continuing to invest in our operation at London Gatwick to offer the best experience for our customers. We recently opened a brand new Clubhouse and check in area at the North terminal, and are investing in our first automated bag drops which will open later this year.
