Manchester Airport has officially opened the doors to its new 1903 Lounge, located in Terminal 3. The adult only area provides a luxurious space for up to 71 passengers to relax before their journey, while enjoying panoramic views of the airfield.

The lounge has been specifically designed to create an informal yet premium setting for business travellers, with plenty of work spaces equipped with charging points and complimentary Wi-Fi so you can catch up on emails or keep up-to-date on social media.

Freshly cooked hot and cold meals are prepared in-house chefs using the best local ingredients. The menu has an emphasis on traditional British meals, including pies, steak and kidney pudding and dairy ice cream from Cheshire Farm. Daily specials are also made to order at no extra cost.

At the bar, you will find a wide range of complimentary beverages from the drinks menu with wines, beer and soft drinks including Jacques Bardelot Brut Champagne as well as local suppliers such as Manchester Pale Ale and Manchester Gin. The drinks menu will vary throughout the year to include a range of season specials.

Ken O’Toole, CEO of Manchester Airport, said: “We’re looking forward to the launch of 1903 in Terminal Three. It’s in a prime location and will offer passengers a real slice of luxury before their flight. We continually listen to the needs of our passengers and 1903 offers something different from our existing airport lounges.”

The lounge opens from 4.15am to 8.30pm (7.30pm on Saturdays) and costs £35 per person for up to two hours when booking in advance or £40 when booked at the airport. Passengers can also avail of fast-track security free of charge.

Beth Brewster, Executive Vice President of Business Development & Lounges for Manchester Airports Group, said: “We’re delighted to launch our flagship 1903 lounge in Terminal 3.  The final product looks superb and offers passengers a real slice of luxury before their flight.”

Airlines currently operating out of Terminal 3 include Air France, American Airlines, Bmi Regional, British Airways, Flybe, Iberia Express, KLM, Ryanair and Vueling.
