Dubai - Palazzo Versace Hotel

For a venue with real wow take a look at the new neo-classical Palazzo Versace which opened late last year.

Set on the waterfront, with views of Dubai Creek, it has 125 rooms and suites and 169 residences.

The most opulent of interiors, designed to emulate a 16th century European palace, features Italian craftsmanship, with every piece of furniture and fabric in the rooms tailor-made by House of Versace. Outside, there are landscaped gardens with reflection ponds.

It’s practical too - situated in the Cultural Village, less than 15 minutes from the airport and eight minutes from Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.

For conferences, the Gala Grand ballroom, decked out in regal purple and gold, has banquet seating for 550 guests or can accommodate 900 at a cocktail reception. Or, the function can take place outside in the Como garden area.

The three meeting rooms have a maximum capacity of 50, while for more intimate gatherings, the business centre’s own three rooms can hold 16 people apiece. A host of executive lounge privileges include 24-hour butler service, limousine transfers and happy hours.

In their free time, delegates can relax by one of three mosaic-decorated pools or in the V spa, or shisha gazebo.

The dining and bar choice is wide (eight venues in total). As you'd expect, there is a signature Italian restaurant but there’s also an international restaurant with live cooking stations, one by the pool and another that keeps innovating by hosting regular pop-ups with an avant-garde slant. Late night hangout Q’s Bar, opening in September, will feature live music directed by the legendary Quincy Jones.
