Clarity business travel update, the year so far

It’s been a busy start to the year for Clarity. 2018 has been a hive of activity and we’re only halfway through. Before we journey into the summer, we thought it might be nice to take a quick look back on what’s been going on:



Absolute Clarity Season 1



January was an exciting month as we launched the very first dedicated business travel podcast, Absolute Clarity. Six months and eleven shows later season one has ended, but the popularity of Absolute Clarity continues to grow every day.



We welcomed CIO’s, Film Directors and Luggage specialists. We celebrated International Women’s Day, heard stories about a one-eyed three legged cat and discussed crucial topics such as GDPR. If you haven’t already tuned in, you can catch up on all the shows here. There’s still time to fit them in before we launch our bigger and better second season.

Bigger and Brighter at the Business Travel Show



After the launch of Absolute Clarity there was no stopping the innovation as we showcased our bigger and brighter look at the Business Travel Show, London Olympia. As well as our team of Sales Managers, experts from across the business were on hand to demo and explain new market leading features and tools to help our clients.


If that wasn’t enough, we held a gin tasting social hour that went down a treat and of course Absolute Clarity went mobile to record live from the show.  




Leading by example, Implementing marginal gains



At the Business Travel Show, we launched our latest research report. An investigation into the use of marginal gains to help our clients increase savings and improve traveller experience in their travel policies and programmes. Whilst we already do this in many aspects of our business we wanted to share our insights with you with our Planes, Trains and Marginal Gains report.


Leading by example, we have always implemented the marginal gains strategy internally and over the last year we’ve been working behind the scenes to streamline our technology products and services. These are areas we continuously develop, with our clients ever changing needs in mind.


Limitless possibilities, going big on data



Darren Williams, Head of Management Information and Data has been invited to numerous events over the last six months to talk about the advances him and his team are making regarding intelligent data. He’s spoken at the ITM Conference, ProManchester and more recently at the Big Data Analytics event. His ideas and work on sentiment analysis and traveller insight has got the industry thinking and hanging onto his every word. We’re excited to see our Clarity platforms evolve with the help of MI as we progress through the year.



Clarity won big at the Business Travel People Awards

 

Throughout all the business changes that have occured, our people have continued to work hard and produce results for the company and for our clients. At the Business Travel People Awards we came away with four awards, as the judges recognised and commended the winners on their consistent delivery, quality and exceptional talent.

 

After a wonderful evening celebrating with friends in the industry, Clarity came home with Account Management Team of the Year, Sales/Business Development Manager of the Year, MICE Manager of the Year and Best Newcomer.

 

 


 

There is still plenty to come and we look forward to all the excitement the next six months will bring.
