American Airlines: Introduces Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on Manchester-Chicago service

Improved connectivity now means travellers on American Airlines from Manchester can connect through Philadelphia (PHL) onto Orlando (MCO), Las Vegas (LAS) and Los Angeles (LAX) with ease. And as part of American’s multi-billion dollar investment in the customer experience, we wanted to let you know about some new and exciting changes that you can take advantage of and look forward to over the coming year. 

Brand new 787s and Retrofitted Boeing 757s. 

Our Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on our Manchester to Chicago service features a state-of-the-art design fully equipped for comfortable transatlantic travel. With a 2-class configuration and fresh interior, travellers can experience a host of entertainment options available on-demand all the while staying connected to the world with Transatlantic Wi-Fi and live TV streaming news and sports channel favourites in flight. 

In Flagship™ Business, passengers can relax with fully lie-flat seats each with direct access to the aisle while they enjoy a heightened entertainment experience featuring noise-cancelling headphones. Travellers can also dine on a host of delicious meal options with celebrity chef-inspired menus and an award-winning wine selection available. 

Our retrofitted Boeing 757-200, flying out of Scotland on our Glasgow to Philadelphia and Edinburgh to New York services, features a 2-class configuration with Wi-Fi and entertainment streaming available on your personal device.

Premium Economy

Available now on our Airbus A330, passengers travelling from Manchester to Philadelphia can book our brand new, world-class Premium Economy service. Our Premium Economy Cabin offers an elevated service on international flights, providing passengers with further legroom and wider, adjustable leather seats for extra comfort, an enhanced meal and beverage service and larger monitors with noise-reducing headphones available.
